Every thriving organization requires continued investment towards its future. The profession of Structural Engineering and SEAOC, charged with advancing that profession, are no different. The SE Pathways to the Profession program ensures the association and profession remain vibrant and relevant by empowering next-generation leadership. As Pathways Cohort members gain connectivity with peers and mentors their engagement in and passion for their chosen profession are strengthened. As mentees become mentors and mentors become leaders, the ranks of our profession and firms gain depth and stability. Leaders with empathy for those being led powerfully impact expectations and outcomes, creating more prepared and able project engineers and managers.
The SEAOC Pathways Program exists because individuals across the profession believe in supporting the next generation of structural engineers.
Individual contributions help expand mentorship, early-career engagement, and access to professional networks for students and emerging professionals across California. Pathways support helps:
- Connect students and early-career engineers with mentors
- Reduce barriers to participation and engagement
- Build leadership capacity across the profession
- Strengthen the long-term health of structural engineering in California
Every contribution supports people at critical moments in their professional journey.
